Hooray! We have a blog!

Well, I took one look at Mrs. Bieg's blog today and said, "We should have one of those!" so here we are. Whether we use it or not depends on us. We shall see what happens.

If we're keeping a daily record, I think the best thing about today was reading the Sideways Stories excerpt in our reading book. Louis Sachar is soo funny, don't you think? Those of us who have already read it still appreciated his dry humor and flagrant plays on words just as much as ever!

Hooray for the students who have already completed the Math-a-thon booklet and turned in their donations. (Of course, our hero is Tommy, the third grader who has gone through the 3rd and 4th grade fun books and is on 5th grade now!)

Michael from the other science class turned in a very heavy UNICEF box today to add to our collection. (Did you all know people can donate to us online? Yes...the URL is just a click away if you go to http://teacherweb.com/NJ/Delran/Sallee and click on the homework section. Actually, you can sign up to donate to the math-a-thon from there too. (Ah, technology and fundraising......perfect together!)

Well, I'd better get back to work....after I write a comment to Mrs. Bieg in Japan on her blog.....
